Based at our fantastic Oslo office, this internship provides an exceptional opportunity to gain first-hand experience within the global shipping and offshore industries. Working alongside our market leading brokers and analysts, you'll develop valuable commercial insight while building your understanding of the sectors and markets that drive global trade and energy.

Key Information

As a Summer Intern, you will become an integrated member of the team, working closely with our experienced brokers and analysts on day-to-day business activities and live market opportunities.

During the internship, you will:

  • Gain practical exposure to shipping and offshore markets
  • Work alongside experienced brokers and analysts
  • Support market research, analysis and commercial activities
  • Develop an understanding of client relationships and market dynamics
  • Gain insight into how global transactions and projects are executed
  • Potentially attend client meetings and industry events
  • Undertake training sessions, networking opportunities and social events
  • Visit leading companies within the maritime sector

 

The internship is typically 8-weeks in duration and across departments such as:

  • Newbuilding

The internship length and departments may vary from year to year based on business requirements.

 

Location: Clarksons Oslo Office

  • Strong academic performance
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • A high level of motivation and personal drive
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Good commercial awareness along with strong interpersonal and social skills
  • A genuine and demonstratable interest in shipping, offshore and related markets

This internship is open to undergraduate students.
